During the massage

Before the massage

  • Our sessions range from 30 minutes to 120 minutes. You are welcome to chose your session length when booking online or through our staff.

  • Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and myofascial release.

  • To experience the full benefits of the massage, we recommend undressing to your comfort level. Your therapist will step out to let you undress and get on the table, you will be properly draped at all times during the session.

  • To prepare for your massage, we suggest you hydrate well and avoid large meals immediately before the session. Please arrive 5 minutes early to ensure time to communicate beforehand.

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to ensure a relaxed start to your experience.

After the massage

  • To experience the full benefit of your massage, you should drink plenty of water to help flush out the system of toxins. It will also keep stagnated blood that may have been released during the massage moving.

  • We recommend focusing on mobility work on days you are having a massage. Things are loosened and comparable to a cooked noodle. Focusing on mobility work will help in restabilizing the muscles and increasing range of motion. A short walk is also highly encouraged!

  • It is not unusual to feel a little sore the next day after a deep tissue massage, similar to the soreness you would feel after a workout. This should subside within 24-48 hours. Cold compresses and stretching can alleviate post treatment discomfort.

  • Regular therapeutic massages can help reduce stress, relieve chronic pain, and contribute to overall wellness. They can also improve sleep quality and enhance the immune system.

  • You can schedule your massage online and enter the gift certificate code during the checkout process. If you have any issues, our customer service team is happy to assist you.

  • Your therapist will consult with you about what you hope to achieve from the session. You can expect a calm, inviting environment and our therapists will tailor the massage to your needs.

  • No, deep tissue massage should be intense only to the point where it remains within your comfort level. If the pressure is too much, let your therapist know so they can adjust it.

  • Open communication is key. Just let your therapist know if anything feels uncomfortable, whether that’s the temperature in the room, the pressure used, or the music selection.

  • You are welcome to fall asleep throughout your massage session, it is very common. Our therapists continue their work as normal and will let you know when the session ends with a gentle hand on the shoulder or back.

  • Our therapists like to ensure you feel at ease and comfortable throughout your session. We have a variety of clients who love to talk throughout the session and others who want to be silent. Our therapists allow you to lead the conversation to ensure you can relax. They will occasionally check in with you on pressure.

Pricing Questions

  • We do sell gift certificates. There are a few different ways to purchase them!

    • Buying them through our booking site, click a location and a “buy a gift certificate” option will appear.

    • Call or text 847-850-9515 and mention wanting to purchase a gift certificate.

    • Book under the person you could like to pay for and place your card on file, we can process the payment post session.

  • We accept all forms of payment for your services. The major payment methods, cash, check, credit/debit card, HSA and FSA. There is a $40 fee on returned check payments. If paying by check you will need to put a card on file to ensure payment is collected in case of a returned check.

  • Unfortunately at this time we do not accept insurance. The insurance industry is constantly changing and accepting more industries coverage. Massage is something that some insurance carriers will cover. We have had great results with reimbursement with a provided receipt. If this is something you are hoping to do please contact your insurance carrier to confirm this is something they will do.

  • We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Any and all services cancelled within the 24 hour cancellation window will be charged 100% of their service fee. This 24 hour window allows our therapists to potentially book another client in that time slot.

  • Our online booking does require a card on file to book. It does not charge the card but holds the appointment for you. If you have a gift certificate, feel free to book online and make a comment in the notes of the gift certificate or reach out to us via text or email to schedule your appointment. We encourage looking online first to have a general idea of a time that works when reaching out for assistance in booking. If you do not see a time online that works please reach out as we can help find more availability for you!
