More Than Massage — A Place to Grow

If you found your way here, welcome.

Maybe you're dealing with chronic pain. Maybe you're coming back from an injury, trying to move a little more freely, or just wanting to understand your body better. Whatever brought you, I'm glad you're here — and if this is your first time at West Therapeutic, thank you for giving me a few minutes of your day.

I'm Aundrea, and I founded West Therapeutic Healing Center.

For years I've worked with people in pain — hundreds of them — through therapeutic massage. Our practice is clinical and education-based: pain reduction, mobility, stress, and getting people back to the things they actually want to be doing. Every treatment gets customized, because every body walks in with a different story.

But at some point I noticed something that nagged at me. I could help someone for an hour or more on the table, and then they'd walk out the door and I'd have no idea what happened next until they returned. What I really wanted was to help people between appointments.

The same questions came up over and over:

Why does my shoulder keep hurting? Why does stretching help sometimes and not others? What muscle is actually causing this? Is there anything I can be doing at home?

People didn't just need treatment. They needed to understand what was going on. When you understand your body, you stop feeling like you're fighting it. You become part of your own healing instead of waiting around for someone to fix you.

So this website has been turning into more than a booking page. It's becoming a place to learn — blog posts, videos, workshops, self-care techniques, mobility work, online courses, and a community of people all working toward the same thing. Anatomy that makes sense instead of anatomy that makes your eyes glaze over. Whether you spend five minutes here or five years, I want you to leave knowing something you didn't before.

Now, about the plants

Outside of work, one of my favorite things is caring for houseplants. There's something peaceful about filling my home and my office with little pieces of nature, and I love learning what makes each one thrive. No two have the same needs. Some want bright light, some want shade. Some need water constantly; others would rather you left them alone for a while. Some shoot up overnight, and some take months to give you one new leaf.

The longer I've done it, the more familiar it feels.

We're not that different. Different histories, different injuries, different lifestyles, different stress. Healing isn't one-size-fits-all any more than plant care is.

Every thriving houseplant started out as a propagation — a little cutting with no root system yet. Just beginning, learning, reaching for something to hold onto.

That's how I think of everyone who finds their way here. However you got to me — a massage appointment, a YouTube video, Instagram, Facebook, a workshop, a friend sending you a link — you're starting out as one of my little propagations.

As you read, watch, ask questions, and keep showing up, you're growing roots. Slowly at first, then not so slowly. Eventually you're not a propagation anymore. You're one of my thriving houseplants: someone who understands their body, moves with confidence, handles pain better, and has the tools to keep taking care of themselves long after we met.

That doesn't happen overnight. Plants need water, nutrients, decent soil, light, and most importantly time. Sometimes they need to be repotted somewhere with more room. Sometimes they need pruning — cutting away the habits or beliefs or routines that aren't serving them anymore, so something healthier has space to grow.

Bodies work about the same way. Healing usually isn't one magic stretch or one perfect massage. It's building the right conditions consistently and then being patient enough to let them do their work.

Come into the greenhouse

That's what this community is to me. A greenhouse. Educational resources, anatomy made simple, stretching and mobility, self-care strategies, workshops, real conversation, and a whole lot of people on their own healing journeys.

Every article you read, every question you ask, every small habit you build — that's another drop of water. Another inch of root.

Some people grow fast. Some grow quietly, underground, where nobody can see it. Some seasons are full of new leaves, and some are just about getting through, and that's okay too. Not every season is for blooming. Sometimes your roots are doing the most important work of all, exactly where no one's looking.

No timeline here. No comparison. Just progress.

So if you're ready to understand your body better, move with more confidence, and be around people who treat healing as a journey rather than a finish line — there's a spot for you. First roots or full bloom, doesn't matter.

You can follow along on Skool, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and just poke around the resources here on the site. Wherever you start is the right place for you.

It's an honor to be a small part of your journey. Thank you for trusting me to help nurture your roots.

Now let's grow.
